Thank you to everyone who provided shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. As the boxes are being processed, please pray for the child/children who will be receive the ones that you prepared. Also, let us remember all of the thousands of volunteers that giving their time to make sure that the boxes are distributed, and the children have been provided what they need.

We have many activities going on this month of December with individual classes, and also preparation of our upcoming Christmas program. There will be no Connection Classes on December 19th, in order for us to come together for “A Night of Christmas Praise”. The program will follow with us coming together for food and fellowship.

Morning Service will consist of the Observance of the Lord’s Supper followed by our Harvest Meal of Soups, Salads, Breads, and Desserts. Please sure and fill out a leaf of what you are thankful for to hang on the “Thankful Tree” in the fellowship
hall.

It is important that quality gifts/clothing are packed. Remove packaging when possible will allow more items for your shoebox.
Your “Wow” item should also be placed on top of the other items, so that it will be the first thing that the child sees.
Remember that this box represents Christ’s love, and each box is a gospel opportunity. It is a once in a lifetime gift, and needs to be items of lasting quality. Your box should consist of things that you would give to your own children, grandchildren, or family member.
“What goes in a box is fun, what comes out is eternal.”

This amazing journey of a shoebox gift begins with you, which will result in Evangelism and Discipleship! From children to seniors, people pack shoebox gifts each year to bless children in need around the world! This is a great project to teach your children and family about giving.
Year round volunteers support these efforts across the county to help make this possible.
